Our Industry leading client is in search of an Exchange Online SME/Engineer. You will provide specialist Exchange Online expertise within a global support framework - ensuring a secure, stable and smooth setup for end users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a global team supporting messaging, collaboration, and mobile services.
- Act as the escalation point for the ServiceDesk and global IT teams for daily Exchange Online support tasks.
- Provide daily support for M365, primarily focusing on Email services to ensure secure, proper, and effective operations.
- Provide after-hours maintenance tasks and 24x7 on-call support on rotation.
- Execute and steer projects and initiatives as delegated, ensuring deliverables are accomplished and thoroughly documented.
- Ensure successful design and operational delivery of Email and M365 related services.
- Uphold a secure M365 environment through proactive measures and responsive actions to security vulnerabilities, including implementing security controls.
- Constantly seek enhancements to EUC services.
- Collaborate closely with Cyber Security teams to enforce policies and configurations related to securing Email/Messaging services.
- Implement resilient solutions and participate in Disaster Recovery tests to validate business continuity plans.
Skills Needed:
- Thorough knowledge in implementing and administering Exchange Online (M365).
- Profound understanding in implementing and supporting Exchange Server 2016 and 2019 in an enterprise hybrid setting.
- Extensive expertise in troubleshooting and administration using PowerShell.
- Experience in migrating from on-premises Exchange to M365 and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Proficiency in supporting and administering email security products and practices (email gateways, DMARC), with a preference for experience using ProofPoint.
- Good familiarity and experience in supporting MS Outlook.
- Experience in managing and administering data backup solutions for Exchange Online recovery.
- Preferred experience in working in a regulated financial industry.
- Experience in environments requiring strict adherence to change control policies and regulatory controls.
- Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2022.
- Desirable knowledge of Intune and managing mobile devices.
