Our induction process begins at headquarters, where all new starters from our European teams meet for one week in our Manchester home. Upon your arrival at 9:30am, you’ll receive a welcome pack and tour of the office, essential orientation that gives you a good insight into the various departments within our operation.
After that, the real fun begins: Oliver James’ award-winning Learning and Development programme. This covers everything from sales and database training to unconscious bias workshops and market-specific education, all tailored to your role within the business. Whether you’re new to the world of recruitment, or just new to us as a business, high-calibre support is the only kind you’ll find here.
The final element to our onboarding experience surrounds your social integration with the business. We want our staff to feel comfortable and confident at work, which is why all recruits are given the opportunity to interact with different teams over their time in Manchester. This is a great chance to meet senior managers too, who can serve as mentors throughout your career. Your visit is rounded off by two new starter events – a long lunch where you and your peers can get to know one another, and drinks where you can celebrate your first successful week. In true Oliver James fashion, both occasions are compliments of the company.
