A leading personal lines auto insurer is looking to hire a AVP - Claims to manage a team within their non-standard personal auto claims department. You will be responsible for the management, development and day to day operations of a team of Auto Claims Specialists. You will drive technical and operational strategy for your department, which will involve more complex cases and litigation. To be considered for this leadership role you must have experience within non-standard personal auto claims (either casualty or property damage).
Responsibilities:
- Manages 1-2 leadership direct reports and an overall team size of 10-15 claims professionals
- Drives technical and operational performance of a team of non-standard personal auto claims specialists
- Responsible for growth, selection and training of new personnel. Monitors performance, completes performance objectives, performance reviews and responsible for on-going development.
- Technical referral point for all complex claims matters. Claims sign-off for larger losses.
- Works closely with senior leadership on business strategy, best practice and growth
Experience / Qualifications:
- Significant auto claims leadership experience within non-standard personal auto claims
- Previous experience as a Auto Claims Examiner/Adjuster with high level of technical acumen
- Experienced within personal auto bodily injury, liability and/or property damage claims
- Strong understanding of technology and how it applies to insurance
- Bachelors Degree and Adjuster License
This role also offers an excellent salary up to $110,000 plus bonus and benefits package, along with a clear path to senior leadership. Office working required from 3 locations in the Chicago IL area.
