This position involves managing personal and commercial auto claims, including first and third-party material damage and total loss claims, with a particular focus on New York. Work in a remote environment that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
What You'll Be Doing:
Review and assess claims to determine coverage, liability, and damage extent.
Conduct thorough investigations by interviewing insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
Set timely, adequate reserves in compliance with company policies.
Make recommendations for settlement amounts and negotiate claims throughout their lifecycle, including supplements.
Identify subrogation or salvage opportunities and pursue recovery accordingly.
Ensure all claims are managed in compliance with state regulations and industry standards.
Offer excellent customer service by keeping all parties informed and addressing concerns.
Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with clients.
Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and assist in professional growth.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Independent State Adjuster licenses, especially in Texas, or the ability to obtain licensing within 60 days of hire.
4+ years of experience in personal lines auto physical damage claims (low to moderate complexity).
Strong understanding of liability and coverage determination on complex claims.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with estimating platforms for material damage claims.
Experience in working with technology solutions to manage claims virtually.
Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in a high-production environment.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
