Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop underwriting strategies specific to life sciences that align with the company's vision and market needs.
• Oversee the underwriting of policies in both the Mid-Market and Small/Transactional segments across the United States.
• Maintain and enhance profitability by managing complex risks and leveraging industry-specific knowledge.
• Collaborate with brokers and clients to develop bespoke insurance solutions, particularly within the Excess and Surplus lines market.
• Guide and mentor a team of underwriters, fostering an environment of growth and professional development.

Key Skills:

• Profound knowledge and experience in underwriting processes, especially in the life sciences sector.
• Strong understanding of Excess and Surplus lines and the ability to navigate through complex regulatory environments.
• Excellent capability to develop and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers and other key stakeholders in the insurance market.
• Proficient in assessing risks and devising impactful underwriting strategies tailored to different transaction sizes, from Small/Transactional to Mid-Market.
