Oliver James have partnered with a global, growing insurance company to assist with the recruitment for an Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Our client, are a prominent leader in the insurance sector and have rapidly grown over the last number of years. This permanent position is suited for an individual who wants to learn and develop in their accounting career and thrive in an evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Participate in the month and quarter end closing process.
  • Prepare the bank reconciliations and make sure they are completed on a timely basis.
  • Interpret the financial information for management and collaborate on the financial results, processes and system enhancements.
  • Contribute to the process documentation and cover the key finance processes.

Key Requirements;

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in Financial Services (preferrably in the insurance industry) is essential for this role.
  • Experience working with finance processes and handling data to produce results is also a strong advantage.

Role and Responsibilities:



  • Perform detailed reserve analysis and prepare reserve reports for health insurance products.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop strategies for financial efficiency and risk management.
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.






Key Skills:



  • In-depth knowledge of health insurance reserving processes and standards.
  • Expertise in financial reporting and accounting principles in the insurance sector.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
