Oliver James have partnered with a rapidly expanding insurer to recruit for a Financial Accountant to join their finance operations team.
You will be part of an ever growing organisation that has plenty of scope for career progression.
You will report to the Senior Manager on the finance team and assist with the tasks below;
- Month end and quarter end closing processes.
- Reconciliations, ensuring they are completed on a timely basis.
- Contribute to systems implementation and process improvement.
- Contribute to the end to end processes and documentation.
Key Requirements;
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Financial Services experience is strongly preferable.

- Perform detailed reserve analysis and prepare reserve reports for health insurance products.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop strategies for financial efficiency and risk management.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
Key Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of health insurance reserving processes and standards.
- Expertise in financial reporting and accounting principles in the insurance sector.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
