Role Overview
As a Financial Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing, interpreting, and reporting financial data to support the client's strategic financial operations. Working alongside various departments, your insights will contribute to key business decisions, supporting the client's ongoing projects and objectives in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance Sheet Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of Belgian banking balance sheets, identifying financial trends and performance indicators.
- Financial Reporting: Create clear, detailed financial reports and analyses, leveraging tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other relevant software.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex financial analyses in an understandable format for Sales, Commercial, and Management teams.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Coordinate with Finance, Risk Management, and Compliance departments to maintain data accuracy and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Strategic Insight Contribution: Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support the client's financial planning and strategic goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Belgian Banking Balance Sheets: Solid understanding of the financial structures within the Belgian banking sector, with an ability to extract key financial insights.
- Analytical Skills and Attention to Detail: Strong ability to analyse complex financial data, with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Reporting Skills: Experience in creating, interpreting, and presenting financial reports; familiarity with tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar reporting platforms.
- Effective Communication: Ability to convey financial information clearly to Sales and Commercial teams in a way that is understandable and actionable.
- Professional Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the finance, banking, or insurance sectors.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in French or Dutch is an asset.
