Remote Opportunity to join a growing insurance organisation to lead their financial reporting team. Seeking those with experience in financial reporting, life insurance exposure and existing leadership qualities.

This role will provide a clear pathway to progression as the department is still a relatively new team. Looking for individuals from a financial reporting background with life reinsurance or life insurance experience that have an appetite to lead on reinsurance transactions.

Requirements of the role:

  • Month end and quarter end financial reporting - STAT and GAAP
  • Lead team and review financial reporting
  • Work with the technical team to interpret reinsurance treaties

To be considered, candidates should have:

  • Background in GAAP and Statutory reporting
  • Experience or appetite to manage
  • Life or life reinsurance experience

Role and Responsibilities



  • Develop and manage the strategic and operational aspects of the company's life reinsurance agreements.
  • Oversee the statutory financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting and maintain compliance with all applicable guidelines and requirements.
  • Analyze reinsurance information to influence policy decisions and risk management procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize reinsurance structures and processes.




Key Skills



  • Proven expertise in statutory reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex agreements and understand their financial impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with reinsurance partners.
  • Robust leadership skills with experience in managing finance teams within the insurance sector.
  • Deep understanding of the life insurance industry and its regulatory environment.
