Finance Reporting Manager
Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Position Summary:
The Finance Reporting Manager will oversee the preparation and submission of financial statements in compliance with GAAP for a life insurance company. This role involves leading a team, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with various departments, and driving process improvements in financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
Ensure accurate, timely reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Collaborate with actuarial, legal, and operational teams to gather and validate data.
Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, including ASC 944, and maintain SOX internal controls.
Manage external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
Identify and implement reporting process improvements, including system automation.
Ensure accurate data integration from ERP and financial systems (e.g., Oracle).
Work with IT and data teams to ensure data integrity and security.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
CPA highly preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
