For a leading company in Pharma field I'm looking for a Head of Global IT Governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Demand Management & Business Partnering
- Act as the primary IT governance interface for global business units, ensuring IT strategies align with regional and corporate priorities.
- Define and standardize the global demand management process, ensuring consistent evaluation of IT requests based on business value, feasibility, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders across multiple regions, acting as a strategic IT partner.
- Establish governance frameworks for demand intake, prioritization, and funding decisions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Global IT Portfolio & Budget Management
- Lead the global IT portfolio & budget, ensuring that projects and programs are aligned with the organization's strategic roadmap.
- Define and implement portfolio governance frameworks, balancing risks, costs, and benefits across geographies and business functions.
- Drive global investment decision-making by establishing data-driven governance models and standardized reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor and report on global portfolio performance, ensuring financial control, risk mitigation, and resource optimization.
- Complex PMO Leadership
- Oversee a global Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for managing complex, cross-functional IT projects and programs.
- Define and enforce project governance frameworks to ensure consistency and efficiency in IT project execution.
- Establish global best practices in program and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, SAFe, etc.).
- Ensure that project risks, dependencies, and inter-regional challenges are proactively managed.
- IT Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Define and implement global IT governance policies, standards, and frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, and compliance teams to ensure IT governance aligns with security and regulatory mandates (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOX).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance governance effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Key Qualifications & Skills
Technical & Business Skills
- Deep expertise in global IT Governance, Demand Management, IT Portfolio Management, and PMO leadership.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise IT strategy, business-IT alignment, and digital transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, PMI, PRINCE2, SAFe).
- Experience in financial planning, IT budgeting, cost optimization, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Global mindset with strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with C-level executives and regional IT leaders.
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills in complex, multi-region environments.
- Experience leading distributed, cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT governance, portfolio management, or a senior IT leadership role in a multinational company.
- Experience in large-scale IT transformation programs and global IT operations.
