Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) - Manchester
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a reputable business of approx 800 people who offer a range of professional services. You would be joining their Manchester based team, responsible for the deployment & maintenance of new & existing infrastructure services.
The business is on the journey to become a cloud first organisation, enabling the support of a fully mobile workforce distributed across the UK, utilising some of the latest technologies.
It is essential that you have experience deploying & administering infrastructure services within an Azure environment. It would be advantageous if you have experience migrating Microsoft Office 365 to Azure platforms.
Skills & Experience
- Experience deploying & managing infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) In a Microsoft Azure environment or another Public Cloud environment (AWS, GCP etc)
- Experience of supporting & troubleshooting on-pre Active Directory or Azure AD in a Hybrid environment
- Good working knowledge of network technologies & protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting, Layer 3 routing protocols etc
- Flexible, adaptable & excited but new ideas / technologies - willing to embrace new initiates & technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders
Desirable
- Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform
- Experience managing & maintaining a Microsoft 365 environment including migrations to Exchange Online, Sharepoint Online, Ondrive, Teams
- Configuration Management experience - Puppet, hef, PowerShell, SaltStack etc
- Automation experience - Azure Native Tools, PowerShell, Python etc
- Experience of Veeam Backup & Recovery or similar technologies
This role will be fully remote until January 2021 with a future working policy of 2 days home, 3 days office. Paying up to £45,000 plus a great package including cash bonus, private health care this is a great time to join the business as they go through an exciting transformation towards the cloud.
