Oliver James is currently supporting a leading client in their search for a Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be integral to the financial close process, assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and accounting. We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in finance and accounting who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Location: West Chester, PA

Schedule: Hybrid

Compensation: 85 - 95 k base salary (pending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to financial close cycles, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses, summarising key financial data.
• Analyse financial information to assess assets, liabilities, and capital.
• Provide clear, concise summaries of financial results tailored to various audiences.
• Recommend and implement process improvements in financial controls.
• Support audit requests and collaborate with regulatory authorities as needed.
• Manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting, finance, or analysis experience preferred.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is a plus.
• Knowledge of accounting standards (Statutory and US GAAP) is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with Workday is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
