Job Descriptions:
Manage the actuarial IFRS 17 reporting team:
- Produce timely actuarial actual reporting for IFRS measures to meet requirements of PHKL and Prudential Group.
- Provide necessary and sufficient analytical review and management control review to ensure the robustness and the explanation of the financials.
- Provide leadership in Actuarial on IFRS reporting and contribute to the management of the Financial Reporting and Management section
- Possess the expertise on both technical and business sides, be able to understand and contextualize the numbers and the end-to-end solution design, and cooperate with other teams across actuarial and finance for both BAU and change management.
- Work allocation, supervision, and delivery: Formulate the work plan and supervise the team to ensure all downstream production deliverables under the IFRS17 reporting team are completed in both a quality and timely manner.
- Result review, analysis and control: Lead the overall analytical review (sources of earning, Analysis of movement) on most key finance disclosures on a holistic basis with the support from the team. Deep dive, discover findings and provide solution and enhancements when necessary. Ensure proper governance, process and control are in place
- KPI and Change management: Manage and enhance IFRS operating profits (one of the KPIs), implement both methodology and assumption changes with the full consideration on financial and operational impacts.
- Team management: Educate and equip the team with both technical and business knowledge, as well as develop their soft skills
Job Requirements:
- 8+ years of Life Actuarial Senior Manager experience
- Qualified Actuary
- Financial reporting and management experience
- Ability to multi-task, be flexible, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and spoken English
