A fast-growing, forward-thinking annuity carrier startup seeking a highly experienced Paralegal to join their legal team and corporate department. This role requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in corporate law, board governance, and insurance regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of insurance enterprise licensing requirements, insurance holding company structures, and regulatory compliance within the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced paralegal support on a variety of corporate and regulatory matters.

• Assist with board governance, including preparation of board and committee materials, resolutions, minutes, and maintaining corporate records.

• Support filings and compliance related to insurance regulatory requirements.

• Manage and maintain insurance licensing and entity registrations across multiple jurisdictions.

• Monitor changes in insurance regulations and support implementation of necessary compliance measures.

• Assist in the preparation and filing of materials with insurance regulators, including holding company filings, corporate transactions, and related documentation.

• Liaise with internal business units and external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Paralegal, with significant time in corporate and insurance regulatory law.

• Deep understanding of insurance licensing processes, holding company act filings, and regulatory structures.

• Strong working knowledge of corporate governance procedures and documentation.

• Familiarity with state departments of insurance and related filings.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written/verbal communication.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, professional office environment.

• Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.

• Prior experience within the corporate, legal or compliance department of an insurance company preferred.
