We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant for one of our esteemed clients, a prominent and fast-growing financial services firm. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong foundation in SEC reporting and GAAP accounting principles. The firm is renowned for its comprehensive financial services and is looking for someone to join their finance team to contribute to the continued growth and accuracy of their financial reporting.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in preparing financial statements in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and transparency of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEC Reporting: Prepare and file periodic reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 20-F, 6-K) in compliance with SEC requirements, ensuring all disclosures are accurate, complete, and timely.
- GAAP Compliance: Ensure financial statements are in full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ensure accurate reflection of the company's financial performance.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all reports and statements.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to assess the company's financial health.
- Audit Support: Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are supported by adequate documentation.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other departments such as tax, legal, and corporate finance to ensure reporting accuracy and resolve any issues.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve internal controls, financial reporting processes, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, with at least 3 years in SEC reporting and GAAP accounting.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, GAAP, and SOX compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with senior leadership.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) is a plus.
