We've partnered with one of the most successful Travel and Leisure companies and they are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction, development, and implementation of data solutions. This role offers the opportunity to harness the power of data to drive informed decision-making, optimise business processes, and unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data architectures that ensure integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards. Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain quality and consistency.
- Assess and implement emerging technologies to improve data processing, analysis, and visualisation. Ensure smooth integration of new tools with existing systems.
- Partner with internal teams, business leaders, and external partners to understand data needs and align solutions with organisational goals. Build and maintain strong relationships to support data-driven initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business challenges and opportunities, utilising data analytics to generate actionable insights. Your work will empower teams to improve operational efficiency and inform strategic decisions.
Key Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in data warehousing, data pipe lining, and big data technologies.
- Familiarity with the Azure Data Stack (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Adaptability and the ability to handle change effectively.
- Great communication skills in English
