Financial Systems Lead - Oracle Fusion
Position Overview: We're looking for a Financial Systems Lead to oversee the financial systems infrastructure and provide project management support for ongoing system enhancements and implementations for a life insurance client. This role requires expertise in the design and strategy of finance and accounting tools, data models, and data mapping. We're seeking a proactive individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within the financial services industry.
This role can sit in Hartford, Charlotte or New York on a hybrid basis.
Compensation ranges from 100-140k plus bonus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a structured plan for managing financial systems.
- Support efficient handling of requests and updates within the financial systems change process.
- Coordinate projects, updates, and troubleshooting for financial systems.
- Help implement new reporting tools that meet finance and accounting requirements.
- Collaborate with team leads to create a financial systems roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve data flow between finance and other business systems.
- Assist in the implementation and refinement of financial systems and identify areas for process improvement.
- Identify manual tasks to streamline and align with business needs.
- Conduct sessions to gather user input and identify challenges.
- Ensure effective operation of reporting tools and system data integrations.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for reporting strategies and support materials.
- Offer insights and recommendations for system and process improvements to finance leadership.
- Design and test system controls to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Track project timelines, ensuring key milestones are met.
- Monitor and address any project risks or issues that may impact timelines.
- Support data mapping for new reporting tools and data warehouse projects.
- Train finance and accounting staff on new systems and tools.
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, and project teams to ensure cohesive technology efforts.
- Mentor junior staff and support their professional growth within the finance systems function.

Qualifications:
- BA / BS in business, finance, or related degree
- Solid technology skills including advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Tangible experience with Oracle Fusion general ledger
- Excellent communication, partnering, presentation and influencing skills
- Collaborative approach based on the ability to listen and value others' opinions.
