Technical Lead Front-End Developer - Design Systems Expert!


Location: Brussels (2 days on-site )

About the Role:


I am seeking a seasoned Technical Lead Front-End Developer to play a pivotal role in shaping design system team. Your mission will involve collaborating across designers, IT teams, and stakeholders to implement and manage a robust design system, ensuring seamless integration into our digital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the tech lead for implementing design systems.
• Create and manage web components using Lit, Sotrybook and Style Dictionary
• Collaborate with designers and developers to structure tokens and automate exports from Figma.
• Build and maintain a UI library aligned with WCAG guidelines.
• Lead technical development while staying hands-on.

Required Technical Skills:

• Expertise in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
• Experience with Storybook, Lit, Style Dictionary and Git.
• Familiarity with Figma, Playwright, and Jest.
• Mobile experience (Kotlin/Swift) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of design systems and web components.

Languages:

• English (mandatory)
• French or Dutch (a plus)
