Our client, a leading asset management firm experiencing high growth, is looking for a senior fund accountant with experience in public funds to join their accounting team. This would sit in their fund administration department. Our client goes into the office 3-4 days a week in Downtown Chicago. Compensation is competitive and there are comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in maintence and accurate completion of fund reporting
- Complete and review tax reporting and filings
- Prepare and complete weekly and monthly reporting
- Perform cash management activities, including sending and confirming wires and reconciling capital calls
- assist in as-hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA is a plus
- At least 3 years of fund accounting experience, with a strong understand of public funds
- Previous leadership experience is a plus
