Senior Technical Support Engineer - Zug - Finance

A global investment firm who deliver high-quality returns for its impressive portfolio of investors are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join their growing IT team, in Zug.
The Company have an extremely impressive, global presence and have created a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values innovation, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Within the role, we are looking for someone who can do more than just solve technical problems - you will also get the chance to be a mentor and role model for other, more junior engineers.
You'll work closely with management to improve processes, ensure smooth operations, all whilst supporting end-users across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-notch technical support to end-users in a professional and approachable manner.
  • Assist with maintaining phone coverage to ensure help desk operations run smoothly at all times.
  • Prioritise and resolve high-priority issues efficiently, adhering to the escalation process.
  • Monitor the incident queue to ensure tickets are assigned and processed without delay.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, and proactively share knowledge across the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to automation initiatives.
  • Participate in IT projects, whether locally, regionally, or globally.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and technical expertise in all interactions.
  • Take responsibility for projects and processes as directed by the management team.
  • Provide support and guidance to fellow engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Ideal experience / Background:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an enterprise-level IT environment - experience in finance / trade-floor support would be a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a logical, methodical approach to solving technical issues.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proven track record of providing exceptional technical support while working within a team.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and handle urgent issues with professionalism.
