The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Delegated Authority Operations Analyst to support the successful implementation of the Delegated Authority (DA) strategy. This role will focus on providing high-quality support to Underwriters, ensuring comprehensive due diligence, and managing audits to ensure compliance with the company's DA framework. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting internal teams and stakeholders to manage delegated authority arrangements effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Underwriters and other stakeholders by ensuring thorough due diligence and ongoing monitoring of new and existing delegated authorities (Binding Authorities, Lineslips, Consortiums, and Delegated Claims Administrators).
- Implement and manage the annual audit programme for Coverholders and DCAs in line with the audit policy.
- Prepare governance and performance reports, including KPIs, related to delegated authority arrangements.
- Assist in the review process for Binding Authorities, Lineslips, Consortiums, and DCAs.
- Produce regulatory and Lloyd's returns, ensuring compliance with market thematic reviews.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, particularly Underwriting teams.
- Attend relevant forums, seminars, and workshops related to Delegated Authority.
- Coordinate internal and external audit reviews and provide support on ad hoc DA projects.
- Assist with the oversight of outsourced resources related to bordereaux data capture and management.
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in a Delegated Authority role within the insurance industry, ideally within the Lloyd's market.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong due diligence and investigative skills.
- Strong analytical, written, and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Proficient in using Lloyd's management systems (e.g., DCOM, DAM, Lineage, Crystal) and advanced Excel skills.
