Team Lead Expert Underwriter | Casualty | Paris 8e/9e
One of our most exclusive clients, recognised as a global leader in P&C insurance are looking for a Team Lead Expert Underwriter in Casualty. Based in Paris 8e/9e, you will join a team of renowned underwriters focusing on the Upper Mid-Market & Grands Comptes (Including clients listed on the CAC 40).
As the right hand of the manager, you will take an active part in defining the French strategy for the Casualty line and will be required to join meetings with the Casualty Executives in the UK/US.

You ideally have 8+ years of experience and you master all the facets of the underwriter profession (legal knowledge, commercial abilities and technical expertise).
English is a must have.
A summary of the role:
- Take an active part in defining the French strategy for the Casualty line
- Assume the right hand position of the manager
- Monitor trends and maintain technical profitability
- Develop, underwrite and maintain a highly profitable book of Casualty business with national and global accounts across XS and primary positions.
What you will need:
- 8+ years of experience in underwriting or brokerage in Casualty
- A strong understanding and grasp of technical underwriting and wordings
- Sharp negotiation and communication skills with a commercial mindset
- English is a must
Location: Paris 8e/9e
Work from home: 2 days a week
