Opportunity with leading life insurer within the reinsurance team for a technical accounting professional to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency of reinsurance accounting processes. Remote role.

This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our reinsurance accounting processes. As a member of our finance team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, reinsurers, and external auditors to manage and report on reinsurance transactions, ensuring proper financial treatment in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in supporting the company's reinsurance strategy, providing critical insights into the financial impact of reinsurance agreements, and helping to maintain robust internal controls and processes.

Candidates should have:
- strong background in technical accounting, specifically with reinsurance contracts and life insurance products

Our client, a prominent leader in the insurance industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager in Reinsurance - Life Division to join their finance team. Role and Responsibilities



  • Develop and manage the strategic and operational aspects of the company's life reinsurance agreements.
  • Oversee the statutory financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting and maintain compliance with all applicable guidelines and requirements.
  • Analyze reinsurance information to influence policy decisions and risk management procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize reinsurance structures and processes.




Key Skills



  • Proven expertise in statutory reporting under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex agreements and understand their financial impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with reinsurance partners.
  • Robust leadership skills with experience in managing finance teams within the insurance sector.
  • Deep understanding of the life insurance industry and its regulatory environment.
