Oliver James have partnered with a wholesale bank in high growth mode to appoint a Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Associate Director to the business.

This position will support the Head of Internal Control and be responsible for all TPRM process and procedures in line with group policy and framework. The focus of the role will be to allow for a robust management of the risks associated with internal and external 3rd party suppliers while being fully compliant with relevant regulations, laws and guidelines across Europe.

  • The day-to-day of the position will look like but not be limited to the following;
  • Lead the consistent management of TPRM practices and procedures across two locations.
  • Coordinate and oversee the complete and accurate implementation of TPRM by Contract Owners across various business and enterprise functions, including IT, Operations, HR, Finance, and Legal
  • Ensure adherence to policy, procedures, and regulatory expectations
  • Assist and guide Contract Owners through all stages of the contract lifecycle (onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding) in line with procedures.
  • Manage contract arrangements in line with SLA for the Internal Control department.
  • Liaise with the risk team for relevant second-line reviews and challenges.
  • Ensure TPRM systems are up to date and complete functional reporting requirements.
  • Support functional TPRM training and information dissemination to facilitate understanding of requirements, working closely with Risk Management, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders across the three lines of defence to ensure effective delivery and execution of TPRM requirements.
  • Consider the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Track, monitor, and report SLA metric performance (KPIs) and KRIs to relevant governance forums.
  • Support periodic reviews of UK and Ireland outsourcing registers, including planning, communication of requirements, oversight, and regulatory submission.
  • Ensure the MSLA and MoU for intragroup outsourcing arrangements are reviewed and updated regularly, including annual reviews of appendices.
  • Ensure timely production of departmental performance dashboards for monthly TPRM sub-committee reports.
  • Keep outsourcing registers up to date in line with regulatory expectations and ensure timely submission to regulators.

This role is suited towards someone with a skill set similar to the below;

  • Third-Party Risk Management: Proven experience in third-party risk management, with strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including PRA, CBI, and other European legislation.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Frameworks: Expertise in internal controls, risk frameworks, and governance practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly, comprehensively, and concisely.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and IBM OpenPages.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders across various disciplines, adapting the level of detail to meet the needs of different audiences.
