The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial health by managing payment collections, processing payments and fostering strong customer relationships. This position involves several key responsibilities:

Collections and Account Management

  • Manage assigned account balances under the Accounts Receivable Manager's guidance.
  • Review accounts receivable aging reports regularly to identify and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Proactively contact clients and brokers about overdue invoices, negotiate payment arrangements, and resolve disputes to maintain cash flow

Payment Processing and Reconciliation

  • Accurately process incoming payments by analyzing and applying cash deposits after matching checks and wire transfers to outstanding invoices.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of customer accounts and collaborate with brokers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support the monthly closing process by completing necessary reconciliation tasks in a timely manner.

Customer Service and Communication

  • Provide excellent service to clients when resolving billing matters.
  • Maintain strong communication skills and a professional, courteous manner when addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies.

Process Improvement and Compliance

  • Identify and help implement enhancements to accounts receivable processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. They should be proficient in accounting software and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
