Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 4 days in-office, 1 days remote)
Compensation: $180,000 - $220,000 + Bonus Potential

About the Role:

Ready to take your finance career to the next level? Our Client is looking for a dynamic and strategic AVP/Director - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join a small but high-performing team. What You'll Do

  • Own the financial planning and analysis function, driving budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Develop and refine corporate financial models to fuel scalable growth.
  • Provide executive leadership with high-impact insights and data-driven recommendations.
  • Partner with the investment team on alternative and traditional investment strategies.
  • Lead financial modeling for liability management and business expansion initiatives.
  • Work closely with the CFO and Controller on financial reporting, accounting strategy, and capital management.
  • Play a key role in scaling the business from $2.5 billion to $5 billion in assets.
  • Manage relationships with rating agencies and prepare key presentations for investors, lenders, and stakeholders.
  • Craft compelling investor relations materials, decks, and strategic finance reports.
  • Jump into high-impact, ad-hoc projects that drive the company's success.

Who You Are

  • A financial powerhouse with 8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment strategy.
  • A strategic thinker with exceptional financial modeling skills and a deep understanding of corporate finance.
  • Experienced in working directly with executive leadership, with a proven ability to influence high-level decision-making.
  • Familiar with investment strategies, spanning alternative and traditional asset classes.
  • Comfortable navigating complex financial structures, liability management, and business scaling.
  • Preferably experienced in life & annuities insurance or related financial services (but we're open to stellar candidates from other backgrounds).
  • A strong communicator, able to break down complex financial concepts for leadership and stakeholders.
  • A detail-driven, results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Adept at managing and analyzing large-scale financial data in Excel and financial modeling software.
  • CPA, MBA, or CFA? Great. If not, but you've got the experience and skills, we still want to hear from you.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to New York City with the ability to work in-office three days a week.
