A speciality, niche Insurance Brokerage and Captive Management Firm is looking to bring on a Claims Advocate to their team. This is an opportunity to work in an adult sandbox with autonomy and work cross functionally with brokers, producers, and account executives. You will provide advocacy, innovative claims process analysis and claims consulting services to clients working in conjunction with the claim and production teams.
Claims Advocate - Commercial Property
In this position you will assist clients in identifying needs, trends, and developing and implementing solutions to manage their claims costs and achieve their claims and Risk Management goals. You will be taking over a portion of the client book and responsible for managing the claims - reporting claims to carriers and/or TPAs, maintain claim information received from clients, carriers, and TPAs, provide oversight management to facilitate timely claim resolution, client management, and keep up to date on policy coverages, claims practices, case law and industry claim trends.
The right candidate will have the following -
- 10+ years of technical claims experience with a Broker, IA, TPA, or Carrier
- Property Coverage Lines experience - casualty lines will not work for this role!
- Experience in a client service / account management role
- Understanding of technical claims procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent logical thinking and analytical skills
- Self starter
