Partnered with a prestigious private equity firm who has been a leader in the space for 30+ years. They are currently launching a new fund and looking for a leader to join their growing team. Hybrid in downtown Chi, great benefits and competitive salary+bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the quarterly valuation process, focusing on cash transactions, asset valuations, and performance tracking.
- Work with traders and custodians to ensure timely completion of trades.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand the fund's structure, investments, and cash flow needs.
- Oversee cash management for capital calls, distributions, and fees.
- Ensure financial records follow accounting rules and legal standards.
- Coordinate with the fund administrator to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial statements, audits, and reports for regulatory compliance.
- Investigate accounting issues to ensure proper compliance.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in financial reporting.
- Coach and support finance team members.
- Help with special projects from the CFO or investment managers.
- Contribute to reporting, policy creation, and other team tasks.
- Handle additional responsibilities as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, especially with alternative investments like private equity, hedge funds, or credit funds.
- CPA is preferred.
- Management/leadership experience required.
