Key Responsibilities
- Data Infrastructure Development: Design and implement scalable, automated data pipelines for risk and regulatory reporting.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure data processes align with regulatory requirements (BCBS 239, data governance, and quality standards).
- Data Quality & Reconciliation: Investigate and resolve discrepancies between reporting systems and data sources.
- Governance & Documentation: Establish policies for data governance, maintain data lineage, dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring reporting solutions meet risk management needs.
- Technology & Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and risk analytics.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the financial sector.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and risk data management.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, CRR2, Basel IV).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex data-related problems.
- Ability to work independently in a results-driven environment.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience with data modeling tools (PowerDesigner, Visio, Collibra).
- Knowledge of credit risk calculations and reporting methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern data architecture best practices.
