Our client is a well-established leader in the insurance industry, committed to providing superior risk management solutions and financial services. Operating globally, they have a particularly strong presence in markets across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. They are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Manager, PMO Manager to join their dynamic Transformation team.

The role and team:

The Transformation team plays a key role in aligning with this strategy by setting the company's overarching health insurance vision and ensuring local business unit (LBU) health strategies are aligned with global objectives. This team also supports LBUs in executing the agreed strategy while building the required health capabilities.

While the initial focus will be on main health markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India), this role spans all of Asia markets. As part of the central Health Team, the Senior Manager, PMO will be critical in driving strategic initiatives, project governance, and change management to deliver on the company's health ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supporting Project and Program Delivery
  • Maintain project schedules and plans to track progress effectively.
  • Monitor and report on project finances and budgets.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support critical decision-making.
  • Track and report on project benefits realization.
  • Manage risks, actions, issues, and change control registers.
  • Oversee dependency management and resource allocation.
  • Support communication mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Develop and manage key project documentation.
  1. Governance and Strategic Alignment
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks, processes, and decision-making structures to ensure projects align with the global strategy.
  • Provide governance support for the Key Health Insurance initiative, ensuring health-related projects deliver value and align with organizational goals.
  1. Change Management and TOM Implementation
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth implementation of new initiatives and alignment with the new Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Minimize disruption and ensure initiatives achieve intended outcomes through structured change management approaches.
  1. Enhancing PMO Capabilities
  • Contribute to PMO initiatives such as implementing new project portfolio management (PPM) tools.
  • Introduce and embed new processes, delivery methods, and training programs to enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Support the central Health Team in delivering scalable and sustainable solutions for health strategy execution across LBUs.

Ideal candidate:

  • Experienced transformation consultant with 12+ years of total working experience
  • Tier 1 Consulting background is a MUST; someone who has worked extensively in a governance/PMO role for 5+ years
  • Agile advocate able to work effectively in a hybrid environment of MNC
  • Extensive experience in setting up a governance framework for a newly established team/organization would be a huge advantage
  • Experience in working on TOM and/or process re-engineering projects across regional or global scope
  • Understanding of Change Management principles will be a huge advantage
  • Health or Health insurance project experience would be a huge advantage
  • Local language capabilities to work with multicultural stakeholders will be an advantage
