Oliver James is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join an exciting project within the Energy sector. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work with cutting-edge predictive maintenance technologies designed to optimize the reliability and availability of critical industrial equipment.

As a Data Analyst, you will be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the successful deployment and monitoring of predictive maintenance models. You will work closely with both technical experts and IT professionals to help improve the efficiency of energy assets across the European market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screening Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs): Analyze industrial process diagrams to identify necessary inputs for predictive maintenance models, requiring a strong understanding of industrial processes and basic mechanical/thermodynamic principles.
  • Data Validation: Conduct initial checks of raw input data using tools like Seeq or Trendminer. While prior experience with these tools is advantageous.
  • Model Configuration: Set up equipment models on the front-end interface.
  • Result Validation: Verify the outcomes generated by predictive algorithms using platforms like Grafana or Seeq. A basic understanding of the underlying thermodynamic and mechanical principles is necessary to ensure the accuracy of model results.
  • Threshold Configuration: Fine-tune model deployments by setting thresholds for automatic alarm systems based on your findings from the data checks.
  • Reporting & Communication: Generate detailed reports for stakeholders, such as equipment operators and performance engineers, to share insights and findings on equipment performance.
  • Post-Deployment Monitoring: Monitor equipment after deployment, investigating raised alarms and identifying whether they are true or false positives. Leverage Seeq or Grafana to perform data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration & Initiative: Take initiative and actively collaborate with the development team and technical experts to provide feedback, troubleshoot issues, and report any anomalies or bugs.

Requested Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar), or a Data Analyst with industrial process experience. Junior or starter-level candidates are welcome.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Knowledge of industrial processes and environments.
    • Strong interest in data analysis with an eagerness to learn and improve.
    • Comfortable using a variety of tooling/software suites, such as OSISoft/AVEVA PI, Seeq, and Grafana (used for analysis rather than dashboard development).
    • A keen analytical mindset paired with a persevering attitude.
    • Ability to work autonomously and proactively address challenges.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.

Additional Information:

  • You will work closely with development teams, technical experts, and operations teams.
  • This role provides valuable exposure to AI-powered predictive maintenance and large-scale data applications in the energy sector.
