Senior Project Manager - Policy Admin Migration, Hong Kong
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of complex, high-visibility projects and initiatives for the organisation. This role oversees all aspects of project management, from initiation and planning to implementation and closeout, with a particular focus on policy administration system migration projects. The Senior Project Manager partners closely with business stakeholders to align projects with strategic objectives, manages cross-functional project teams, and ensures successful delivery of project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project life-cycle for large-scale, strategic projects, including requirements gathering, project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and change control
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams, coordinating the efforts of business analysts, developers, QA, and other specialists
- Develop and monitor detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules to track progress and identify/mitigate issues
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to executive stakeholders on a regular basis
- Implement effective project management processes, tools, and governance to drive consistency and excellence
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative project delivery approaches
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers within the organisation
- Demonstrate deep expertise in leading policy administration system migration projects, including managing complex data conversion, system integration, and user training efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects to successful completion
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading policy administration system migration projects
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- In-depth understanding of insurance policies, products, and processes
- Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry is highly preferred
