Oliver James has partnered with a leading Financial Services client based in Dublin, who are hiring for a Product Owner for a 6-month rolling contract engagement commencing in early January 2025!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner with a strong background in banking and payments to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in defining and delivering product strategies within the financial sector, with a focus on payments systems, including SEPA and SWIFT. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the product vision, prioritising features, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and communicate the product vision and road map for key banking and payments initiatives.
• Gather, analyse, and prioritise business requirements, translating them into actionable user stories and product backlog items.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors, to ensure successful product delivery.
• Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the product meets user needs and delivers value.
• Stay informed on regulatory frameworks and compliance standards, particularly in payments systems (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT).

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner in the banking sector, with a focus on payments.
• Deep understanding of payments systems, including SEPA, SWIFT, and related regulatory standards.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise competing needs.
